Stop Romanticizing the Past & Start Healing

A reminder for when you're tempted to look backward:

I am not missing the reality of what was,

I am missing the version of it I hoped it would become.

Real love does not leave me confused, waiting, or chasing. Real love moves forward through consistency, effort, and action.

Today, I choose to remember the whole truth—not just the highlights.

I release the potential that never became reality. I release the future I imagined. I release the person I hoped they would become.

I do not need to revisit the past to heal from it.

My healing begins when I stop focusing on who they could have been and start investing in who I am becoming.

I choose peace over possibility. I choose reality over fantasy. I choose growth over attachment.

The door is closed, and that's okay.

What's meant for me will never require me to shrink my standards, abandon my peace, or ignore the truth.

Today, I move forward. 💛
